The Armstrong name is an iconic Australian family name. Known for decades of service in road surfacing in Australia, the families multi-generational history in road building and surfacing can be dated back prior to their migration to Australia.  With a renowned reputation for quality contracting, the company has more recently developed their own range of service equipment for the Australasian Asphalt Pavement Industry.

The experience gained in the road surfacing side of the business over a number of generations has allowed Armstrong to design and manufacture benchmark equipment for the industry. In the Australian market, the Armstrong Engineering brand that manufactures a range of products is now also well established. In the early years, Armstrong developed their own aggregate spreaders, rotary brooms and other products as a means of servicing the demand for the civil contracts that their own business attracted. Over time, Armstrong modified and refined their designs and improved the capability of their critical equipment. As the equipment improved, the Armstrong products soon presented benefits not found in competitor products on the market.

In time, these products became recognised by others in the industry and soon, colleagues and competitors alike identified the advantages of the Armstrong equipment. The advantages of the Armstrong products are what sets the company apart from its competitors. The Armstrong products pioneered a level of safety and reliability that was otherwise not available prior to their innovations.

From what began as the design and manufacture of their own tools for the trade has now grown to become a commercial focus for Armstrong. The company ‘Armstrong Engineering’ represents the arm of the business that develops various products for businesses operating in road surfacing. With demand for their products growing, Armstrong is now fulfilling orders for their products offshore and the company is now supplying their product to an American market. The demand for the Armstrong brand is testament to an industry that values high quality equipment with proven superior performance in road surfacing.
